About Lil
Hey I’m Lil, a pet photographer based in East Devon. I’ve lived and breathed dogs my entire life, and have been actively competing in various dog sports for over 15 years. I began my photography journey several years ago, and have crafted my style through endless hours of learning, and a lot of trial and error!
When not behind a camera or training my wonderful dogs I’m busy completing my Earth Science PhD, and I’m actually an award winning Geoscientist! I really enjoy the opportunity to combine my art and science, and in 2021 I was The British Society for Geomorphology's Runner Up Photographer of the Year.
My knowledge gained from the competitive dog world is second to none when it comes to understanding the quirks of different breeds. Some kids grow up reading the dictionary, I grew up studying breed standards. This might seem irrelevant to photography, but it really helps me to understand the dog in front of my camera, whether pedigree or crossbreed there will be breed specific characteristics to highlight or work with during a session. I’ve also had ample experience with sensitive dogs, and I my number one priority will always be that the shoot experience is positive and encouraging for every dog.
Meet the Boys!
From being the best fieldwork assistants to competing at the top level in numerous sports, they are always up for an adventure! I’m in the process of setting up a blog to document a little bit more of what we get up to day to day, but for now here’s a little more about the dogs that help me to navigate life.

Likes: Ice cream, people watching, rides in the car
Dislikes: Salad, Han getting more attention than him
Raz has been by my side for over 10yrs, from A Levels all the way to a PhD, so it’s safe to say he knows his stuff about geomorphology! Previously a very successful show dog, Raz now enjoys a retired life scouting for the best dog friendly eateries.

Likes: Balls, camping, biting bad guys
Dislikes: Flies, Raz getting more attention than him
Hanno has a habit of looking like Mr Serious in photos, but he’s the biggest softie in real life. Like his buddy Raz he’s a busy guy, we spend a lot of time training together for various sports, but also find a lot of time for exploring the great outdoors!
